minute of it. For years, I told outsiders that Durham was the best kept secret.
Guess what...that secret is out and we have experienced explosive growth. I
think the world now knows what I discovered years ago. Durham, NC...the Bull
City...the home of the DPAC Performing Arts Center, the home of NCCU and Duke
University is the best place to call HOME!

 

An enthusiasm for all thing’s real estate, a commitment to building lifelong relationships, expert negotiation skills and a lifelong passion for the places we call “home” are the hallmarks of Amy King’s real estate career. Born and raised in rural Western New York (Caledonia) on what some city folks would call a farm (giant garden, dogs, chickens and guard geese that would chase you if you entered the yard), she spent the larger part of her childhood feeding chickens and gathering eggs. A proud graduate of an HBCU, Amy holds a B.A. in English Literature and another in Mass Communications. Amy furthered her education with a hard-earned M.B.A.

She began her love affair with houses while renovating homes in Western New York (Rochester) before transitioning into the world of Residential Real Estate Sales in North Carolina. Relocating to Durham 15 years ago, she has taken the knowledge learned in working in corporate America (IT and Desktop Support) to segue into owning her own real estate brokerage. A current Durham resident, Amy has witnessed the tremendous change and growth that’s transformed the area into one of NC’s most sought-after destinations. Her exceptional knowledge of the real estate market in NC , coupled with her enthusiasm and expertise, makes Amy the unequivocal go-to-person for your real estate needs.

A lover of houses and a tennis enthusiast, her goal is to satisfy her clients in every way, from listening to their needs to going above and beyond to find the right home or get their house sold. Amy is an active supporter of charities including Meals on Wheels of Durham (MOW Durham), and The Pancreatic Cancer Network (PanCan), which holds the annual Purple Stride Walk. When not assisting clients, Amy is an avid movie buff and lover of Sci-Fi (never seen a star trek episode that she didn’t love). She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three kids, amazingly smart grandson, and cruising around the Caribbean visiting her favorite islands of Puerto Rico, Aruba, and Curacao.
